Things to Do!

The Plattsburgh area offers a multitude of possibilities.  Enjoy the lake, bike ride, or visit one of our many museums.  Shop at Champlain Centers Mall.  Tour Ausable Chasm or the Olympic village and facilities in Lake Placid.  One hour north is Montreal, Canada. (Note: if you travel across the Canadian border, make sure to bring a passport.) Take a day trip to Vermont via the Ferries on Cumberland Head.  Once on the Vermont side, you’re 25 minutes from Burlington.

We had a great stay! This cabin is just as advertised on a small bluff right next to the lake. The sunsets across Cumberland Bay are amazing! The owners are very kind and friendly. The cabin is not very big but easily suited my wife and I with our three small children. It might be too small for 5 grownups. Its size did make it easy to keep clean and organized in our weeklong stay. The location is great, very family friendly....off the beaten path so nice and quiet. The shore is as shown in photo with round stones and great for swimming. The City beach about 1.5 miles away if you are craving sand. It is a few mile drive to get to most of the restaurants in Plattsburgh, but the well equipped kitchen eliminates the need to eat out if you don't want to. Definitely would recommend, great location and well priced.
